Background

Google Pay is a digital wallet and mobile payment service that allows users to make secure and convenient payments using their smartphones or other compatible devices. Integrating Google Pay into our payment platform is a strategic response to meet evolving customer preferences and market trends. We ensure user data protection and trust by leveraging Google Pay's API and its robust security features, such as tokenization and device authentication. The integration will enable users to link their preferred payment methods.

What is it

The Google Pay integration will enable users to make payments using their Google accounts across our Lunchbox 2.0 web and mobile platforms. The integration will leverage the Google Pay API to facilitate easy and secure payment transactions on the Lunchbox platform. Available for:

  • Web & Mobile Web

  • App

  • Catering Web & Mobile Web

  • Catering App

Why use it

  • Convenient Payment Option: Google Pay offers a simple and hassle-free payment method for customers, reducing checkout time and enhancing the overall dining experience.

  • Wide User Base: Google Pay has a large and growing user base.

  • Enhanced Security: Google Pay uses tokenization and device authentication, an additional layer of security to protect customer's financial information during transactions.

Limitations

  • Lunchbox 2.0 Restaurant Partners

  • Currently only available with ParPay (Worldpay) and Finix Payment Processors

  • No POS Limitations


Lunchbox 2.0 Configuration

Google Business Console Configuration

To enable Google Pay, Lunchbox Support will need to submit an Integration Form. Reach out to them and let them know of your interest, so this can be configured. Once configured, use the following steps to enable Google Pay on your Web and Mobile ordering platforms.

Lunchbox Dashboard Web Configuration

Step 1: Navigate to your order site URL.

Step 2: Select “Jump To Admin”.

Step 3: Navigate to Design > Customize Web > Payment Options

Step 4: Toggle On Google Pay and Click 'Save'

Step 4: Toggle On Google Pay and Click 'Save'
