Background

Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service developed by Apple. It allows users to make online payments securely within apps using their Apple devices, with advanced security measures like tokenization and biometric authentication for convenience and privacy.

What is it

An Apple Pay integration for online ordering lets people use their iPhones or iPads to quickly and safely pay for things they buy on a website or app. They tap a button, use their fingerprint or face to confirm, and pay without typing in credit card details. This makes buying stuff online quicker and more secure. Available for:

  • Web & Mobile Web

  • App

  • Catering Web & Mobile Web

  • Catering App

Why use it

Lunchbox 2.0 Configuration

Apple Developer Console Configuration

To enable Apple Pay, Lunchbox Support will need to enable Apple Pay Payment Processing in the Apple Developer Console. Reach out to them and let them know of your interest, so this can be configured. Once configured, use the following steps to enable Apple Pay on your Web and Mobile ordering platforms.

Lunchbox Dashboard Web Configuration

Step 1: Navigate to your order site URL.

Step 2: Select “Jump To Admin”.

Step 3: Navigate to Design > Customize Web > Payment Options

Step 4: Toggle On Apple Pay and Click 'Save'

Lunchbox Dashboard App Configuration

Step 1: Navigate to your order site URL.

Step 2: Select “Jump To Admin”.

Step 3: Navigate to Design > Customize App > Payment Options

Step 4: Toggle On Apple Pay and enter the Merchant ID in “Merchant Identifier” (“merchant.com.lunchbox2") if it’s on our app store account). Once finished, Click 'Save'
