Overview
Revenue centers in Toast let you group and track sales based on where they happen—like dine-in, online orders, or specific areas like the bar or patio. The Lunchbox team is only responsible for setting up the online ordering revenue center for the platform the client has with Lunchbox. This setup helps restaurants allocate online ordering revenue to one or more designated revenue centers, providing a clear view of sales across different service areas, tables, ordering platforms, and devices.
Configuring Toast Revenue Centers
To create a Revenue center, we should
Choose the Name (usually defined by the client)
The Target where the revenue center applies or what it is associated with. It defines where or how the revenue center is used within the Toast POS
The Owner is the entity responsible for the revenue center—usually the restaurant location or a group/location ID within your Toast setup. If a restaurant is part of a multi-location group, select the Target and Owner.
Read below to learn how to build revenue centers in your Toast Admin. Be sure to add the revenue centers you want to implement into the configuration workbook. These revenue centers will be manually configured with a corresponding GUID in Lunchbox. Once assigned, please include these GUIDs in your configuration workbook.
To access the Revenue center in Toast,
Select Front of the house from the left sidebar

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you create a revenue center for a third-party delivery integration (DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Grubhub), do not archive it. Archiving a third-party delivery revenue center may prevent orders from correctly flowing into Toast POS.
Determining Whether to Use Global or Local External ID:
Decide whether or not the revenue center will be applicable for all stores in your operation or only for a specific store:
If this is for ALL stores, you can use a Global External ID
If this is for an individual store, you can use the Local External ID
