1. Can I redeem my physical gift card in-store?

If Lunchbox powers your gift card, you can redeem it in-store only if you use TOAST POS. For all other gift card providers that integrate with Lunchbox, we suggest you contact them directly.

2. How do I purchase a gift card?

Go to the restaurant website where you wish to get the gift card from. Each restaurant has a section where you can click to buy a gift card. If you can't find it, don't hesitate to contact the restaurant directly. For Gift Cards powered by Lunchbox, purchases can be made on the web or app, using Apple Pay or Google Pay, by accessing the Gift Card Wallet.

3. What are the benefits of having a Gift Card program?

A Gift Cards program allows restaurants to increase their brand awareness, meet new customers, and broaden their online geographic reach. Lunchbox Gift Cards are powered by eCard Systems, a gift card provider that integrates with our system and other various platforms and provides.

4. Can customers customize their Gift Card?

Customers can purchase Covers and Custom Physical Gift Cards for Lunchbox Gift Cards. Check with each provider for other gift cards.

5. What is the largest amount allowed when purchasing a gift card?

There is no limit on the Gift Card Balance.

6. Who do I contact if I have any problems with my gift card?

If Lunchbox powers your gift card, please contact the Ecard Systems Support Line at 1-866-776-7409 and choose Ext. 3. For all other gift card providers that integrate with Lunchbox, we suggest you contact them directly.

7. How many gift cards can I purchase per transaction?

With Lunchbox Gift Card, you can only purchase one at a time. For all other gift card providers, we suggest you reach out to them directly.

8. Can loyalty be earned on Gift Card purchases through the web and app?

Purchases of Lunchbox gift cards will NOT accrue loyalty points. For all other gift card providers, we suggest you contact them directly to learn more.

9. Can discounts be applied to Gift Card purchases through the web and app?

When purchasing a Lunchbox Gift Card, you can NOT apply discounts. For all other gift card providers, we suggest you contact them directly to learn more.

10. I bought a gift card to give as a gift, but then I changed my mind. Can I get a refund?

No. Once you purchase a gift card, no matter the provider, you won't be able to get a refund for your order.

11. What's the redemption priority for paying with a Gift Card?

If the Gift Card is powered by Lunchbox, the priority stands as follows:

First - Loyalty Credits - guests can't choose if they want to use it or not.

Second - Coupon / Discount - guests can choose what discounts they want to apply.

Third - Form of Payment - Guests can choose to use a gift card or credit card.

For all other gift card providers, we suggest you reach out to them directly.

12. What happens when a preload or gift card balance is fully depleted and there is a remaining balance on the order?

When the gift card's funds are depleted, the remaining balance is taken from the credit card on file for all providers.

13. Do Gift Cards have an expiration date?

Gift Cards do not expire.

14. What’s The Difference Between E-Gift Cards And Physical Gift Cards?

E-gift cards are digital only, and you are only provided the card number. With a physical gift card, you can swipe it in the store (Toast Only) or use the card number to type in while checking out. Both e-gift cards and physical gift cards can be redeemed at any location.

15. What are the requirements of a restaurant that would like to use our Gift Card solution?

  • They must be a client of Lunchbox for other products, ideally, web, native apps, and more.

  • They must have Toast POS for in-store redemption. Swiping an ECard at the Toast Terminal when paying requires an additional step

16. What gift card providers does Lunchbox integrate with?

Lunchbox has its own gift card feature, powered by eCard Systems, a gift card provider that integrates with our system and other various platforms and provides. We also integrate with several other gift card providers.

17. I paid for an order using a gift card, but I didn't receive my order. Can I get the funds back into my card?

Yes. Refund a gift card the same way as a regular order by loging into Lunchbox Adm.

18. Can I add my gift card to my Apple or Google Wallet?

Not at this time.

19. Can I purchase a gift card and send it as a gift?

Yes, but only when powered by Lunchbox Gift Card.

20. Who do I contact if I have any problems with my gift card?

The provider of the gift card. If Lunchbox powers your gift card, please contact the Ecard Systems Support Line at 1-866-776-7409 and choose Ext. 3.

21. How can I check the gift card balance?

It will depend on your provider. For a Lunchbox Gift Card, you can check your gift card wallet by accessing your profile on the restaurant's website or app. For all other providers, you have to go to their webpage to check the balance.

22. Can loyalty be earned when purchasing a gift card through the web and app?

Depends on the provider. With Lunchbox, you will NOT accrue loyalty points.

23. Can discounts be applied when paying with a gift card?

Yes. Discounts can be applied to an order when paying with a gift card.

24. Do I pay transactions or extra fees when using the e-gift card or the physical Gift Card?

The gift card provider or the credit card processor, not Lunchbox, establishes whether there is a transaction fee or any extra fee when using the gift card. Lunchbox Gift Cards do not charge any extra fees.
