Marketing Carousel Feature

The Marketing Carousel is a feature in the Admin Dashboard that provides a visual image gallery for your app that displays important announcements, new features, and/or news about your business.

NOTE: This feature is for App-Only content.

Marketing Carousel Setup

Step 1: The Marketing Carousel feature is activated by logging in to the Admin Dashboard and navigating to Marketing > Home Content.

Step 2: Select your desired Location and Brand from the dropdowns provided.

Step 3: There are previews of currently selected images displayed; click on the + Add button to open the Search For Media window.

NOTE: The information below the image previews denotes that only images under 8MB can be uploaded. The image resolution must be 750 x 902px, *.jpg format. Also, gifs and animations are not supported in Marketing Carousel.

Step 4: You can either Search for stock or previously uploaded images or Upload new images.

Searching for Images

Step 1: You can search for media by typing in information in the Title or Tags fields and clicking the Filter button for results.

NOTE: Clicking the Reset button will display all available images.

Step 2: There are a number of images that are displayed in the pane below, based on whether you searched for specific, filtered images or are viewing all images. Click on any image to have it placed into the provided image preview list at the top.

Uploading an Image

Step 1: Click the + Add button to open the Search For Media window.

NOTE: The information below the image previews denotes that only images under 8MB can be uploaded. The image resolution must be 750 x 902px, *.jpg format. Also, gifs and animations are not supported in Marketing Carousel.

Step 2: Then, in the Search For Media section, click the Upload button.

Step 3: Next, browse your device for the new image you’d like to upload or drag/drop the image into the box selected.

Step 4: At this point, you can title and tag the image, if desired.

NOTE: If you uploaded the wrong image, you can click the clear button or trash can icon to remove the image.

Step 5:
If the image you selected is correct, then click Upload.

Step 6: Once the image is uploaded, click Close.

Step 7: Then, refresh your browser screen and click the Add button again. The image we uploaded shows in the library of images.

Step 8: To add the image to the marketing carousel, we just need to click on the image and it displays in the marketing carousel right away.

Ordering Images

Step 1: Images can be re-ordered in the Marketing Carousel by selecting and holding an image, then slide the image into the position that you desire.

Previewing or Removing Images

Step 1: Hovering over an image in the Marketing Carousel's main page will superimpose two icons: Image Preview (Eye icon) and Delete (Trashcan icon).

Content Hub Feature

The Content Hub is a feature in the Admin Dashboard that expands your brand by enabling access to any linked content in-app (i.e., news, articles, blogs, new features, podcasts, and more!)

NOTE: This feature is for App-only content; an in-App browser is used.

Content Hub Setup

Step 1: The Content Hub feature is activated by logging in to the Admin Dashboard and navigating to Marketing > Home Content.

Step 2: Select your desired Location and Brand from the dropdowns provided.

Step 3: The Content Hub section is located at the bottom of the page, just beneath the Marketing Carousel section. The following information is displayed:

  • Priority: The position that the content will have on your site.

  • Title: The title of the content that is displayed.

  • Description: The descriptive preview of the content.

  • Call to Action Title: A button that entices the user on the content type.

  • Call to Action URL: The URL link for the content.

You will see your existing content or no items in this section. To add a new content item, select the Add button.

NOTE: There is only a maximum of five (5) content hubs possible.

Step 4: The Add Content Entry window will slide in from the right. The following items are available for input:

  • Title: The title to your content hub information (60 character limit).

  • Description: The short description of your content (400 character limit).

  • Call to Action Title: The wording on the button (12 character limit).

  • Call to Action URL: The URL that your guest will be sent to.

  • Image URL: The function that allows you to add an image from the gallery for the content hub info.

When all information is added, select the Add button to save the changes and complete the process.

Updating / Removing Content Hub Information

Step 1: To remove or update information from the Content Hub, click on the desired item (i.e., row) to be modified.

Step 2: The Edit Content Entry window will appear from the right. You can edit any of the information or update/remove the image as well. To update the information after changing the fields or image, select the Update button; to remove the information from the Content Hub, select the Remove button.

Ordering Content Hub Entries

Step 1: Entries can be re-ordered in the Content Hub by selecting and holding an entry, then slide the entry into the position that you desire.

FAQ

  • What is the best image type to use for uploading images (JPG, PNG?)

    • App Images

      • Home Carousel Images:

        • Size: 750px x 902px

        • File: JPG

      • NOTE: You can have up to five (5) carousel images on your app.

      • Content Hub Images

        • Size: 670px x 378px

        • File: JPG

      • Splash Screen (the loading screen as the app load)

        • Size: 750px x 1624px

        • File: JPG

        • NOTE: This file cannot be animation/GIF

  • Is there a max for app content (content hub) on the marketing carousel?

    • There isn't a max, but Lunchbox doesn't suggest more than 5-7 items.
