Mobile App Design: Marketing Carousel

Written by Joyce D.

Overview

Marketing Carousel Slides are present on the Home Screen of the Mobile App. Slides will appear on the device in the order they appear on the dashboard. The order may be rearranged using the dashboard controls (arrows on the left side of slide cards)

Slider Behavior

If there is more than one slide, the carousel will automatically scroll between the slides (10 seconds on iOS, 5 seconds on Android). If the user is “holding” a slide by touching the image, the slides will not automatically scroll on Android.

Content Requirements

  • The dimensions and aspect ratio of the carousel may vary between devices. As such, it is recommended to allow padding between any important text and the edge of the image to allow the images to be cropped and not affect the legibility of the text

  • Accepted File Formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, SVG. WEBP, GIF

  • File Size Limits: up to 2MB

Content Safe Zones

Designated area within an image where important text, logos, or essential elements can be placed without the risk of being cut off, cropped, or obscured. This ensures that the elements remain fully visible and legible, regardless of how the image might be displayed or cropped in different contexts, such as on various screen sizes.
