Let’s create a discount in Revel for use with Lunchbox Loyalty.
Note: The restaurant will have to set up this discount for each of their locations if they are not using Enterprise Management.
Revel Discount Limitations
Lunchbox does not validate CLUs/Discount Codes to discount codes that are configured in Revel POS when sending orders through the API.
Revel Discount Configurations
Step 1: On the Revel Dashboard, go to Products, then on left navigation go to Discounts and “Add New Discount”
Step 2: After clicking add a new discount, configure the individual discount - being sure to include a barcode number.
Step a: Name - Lunchbox Loyalty - Do Not Touch
Step b1: Discount Function: Standard - A toggle would need to be checked to hide the discount from POS.
Step b2: Discount Function: Customer - These discounts will not appear on iPAD and allows a user to view the discounts in separate reporting buckets.
Step c: Rewards Type: Purchases
Step d: Discount Type - Amount
Step e: Variable Discount - Check
Step f: Discount Amount - 0
Step g: Discount at Item Level - Item based discount activation
Step h: Barcode - Fill any 8 random digits - must be UNIQUE
Note: Barcodes should be included in the coupons tab of your configuration workbook and will be used in the POS Reference field on Lunchbox.
Step i: Active: Ensure it is marked with a checkmark
Step j: Display on iPAD: Unchecked
Step k: How often to apply: “Once per Order” for order based, “To all applicable items” for item based
Step l: Taxed: Ensure it is marked with a checkmark
Step m: Points needed for Redemption: 0
Step n: Order Types: Select all dining options
Step o: Stacked Discount Types: Competitive
Step 3: Click Save
