Updated over a week ago

Disclaimer: This article is for Lunchbox 2.0 customers only. If your dashboard header looks the same as below, you are in the right place:

Let’s make sure information associated with your locations is up-to-date ahead of onboarding.

Please make sure that the Location Information for each of your locations in Toast is correct.

Note: You should walk through these steps for each of your locations.

Pro Tip! Ensure that all necessary location information is added properly and kept up to date in your configuration workbook!

SPEAKING OF WORKBOOK... HOW CAN I EASILY FIND A LIST OF MY LOCATION GUIDS?

Did you Know? If you are looking for a full list of your location GUIDs this can be found by logging into Toast and appending /export/restaurantidmapping after the word admin in the URL?

Step 1: From the Toast Admin Dashboard select a location from the dropdown at the top of the site.

Step 2: Scroll down the homepage and click Marketing > Restaurant Info to confirm that your location’s number, name, address & phone number are correct.

Note: Your location’s address, phone number, and website will appear on the right side of the page.

Step 3: Should you need to update this information, click on the location Information link found in the blue bar

Step 4: From the Location Information page you can update the following fields:

  • Restaurant Name (name doing business as)

  • Location Name (used externally to differentiate locations - ie. neighborhood, city)

WARNING: Location Name CANNOT contain / forward slashes will break the location integration to apps and web. Lunchbox uses the Location Name in the URL and having a / in a Location Name causes the URL to break.

The Location Name Field is visible on the map selector & Menu View as well as in the Store Name field on the Lunchbox Admin.

Location Picker & Menu View

Jump to Admin Edit Location View

  • Phone Number

  • Location Address 1 (street address, city, state, zip code, country)

  • Location Address 2 (additional address information - ie. suite number)

WARNING: Location address longitude and latitude must match your Google My Business Longitude & Latitude or else the location pin will not behave properly on your Online Ordering Site.

UPDATING LONGITUDE AND LATITUDE CANNOT BE DONE IN TOAST & REQUIRES TOAST SUPPORT. CHECK THE ADDRESS FIRST IF IT IS CORRECT AND THE LONGITUDE AND LATITUDE ARE NOT PULLING CORRECTLY THEN PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO [email protected] TO HAVE THE LONGITUDE AND LATITUDE UPDATED.

ADDRESS SYNCING NOTE: If your location address in Toast is different from a side entrance address where people pickup the food. You will need to either change it in Toast to the side door entrance if that is the address they want to appear on their Toast Guest receipts or Lunchbox will need to disable the address from the location sync by escalating an engineering ticket and then manually update it on Lunchbox.

GUEST RECEIPT NOTE: Store #, Location Address 1 & 2 & Phone Number will display on Guest Receipts as seen below. To Overwrite the phone number displayed on the receipt globally this will need to be completed by Lunchbox on the Global Service type.

COUNTRY CODE FORMAT NOTE: Countries in toast in Toast must be abbreviated to import properly.

Step 5: Click the blue Save button at the top right-hand corner of the screen to save changes

Step 6: From the Marketing and Branding Screen from Step 1 in this article, scroll down to the location code section and add a value.

  • Location Code (internal code used to identify between locations) and syncs with the Lunchbox Store #

NOTE: This will usually be for financial purposes. Typically people choose a number in order of restaurants opening or the number of their street address. THIS VALUE IS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESSFUL IMPORTING AND INTEGRATIONS.

WARNING: Location Codes CANNOT contain / forward slashes will break the location integration to apps and web. Lunchbox uses the Location Code in the URL and having a / in the Location Code causes the URL to break.

Step 7: Get Started On Social Media section. It is a good idea to also keep the following up to date for branding purposes.

  • Website

  • Facebook

  • Instagram

  • Twitter

Step 8: Click the blue Save button at the top right-hand corner of the screen to save your changes.
