Increase Your Revenue with a Quick Update to Your Google Business Profile!

Table of Contents

Introduction

As your business grows, it's important to ensure that your online presence is up to date and reflects the latest information about your business. One important aspect of your online presence is your Google Business profile. Spending just a few minutes updating your Google Business profile can have a significant impact on your revenue by making it easier for customers to find and order from your restaurant! Did you know 97% of consumers search online for a local business? And of smartphone users who search for a restaurant, 64% of them convert into paying guests within the hour!

Specifically, updating the links on your profile to include your first-party ordering site and updating your menu link to either your website's menu or your first-party ordering site can make a big difference! By providing customers with direct links to your ordering site and menu, you make it easier for them to order from you and increase the likelihood that they will do so. Customers appreciate the convenience and simplicity of being able to order from your restaurant directly.

What’s great is that these changes are fairly easy to implement!

Google Food Ordering Implementation Steps

  1. Click Sign in and log into your account.

  2. On the left side, click Info.

  3. Where you see “Menu link” be sure to list your website or first-party ordering page.

Add Your First-Party Ordering Site

  1. Click Sign in and log into your account.

  2. On the left side, click Info

  3. Click the “Order ahead links” to add your first-party ordering page. If you have multiple links here, you can mark this as the preferred option using the star icon.

If you wish to take it a step further and remove the third-party ordering links that appear, you will need to contact your third-party delivery partners to request they remove their links from your restaurant's business profile. This will ensure that customers are directed to your first-party ordering site exclusively. For your convenience, I have attached an email template for you to use with your partners.

If you have any questions or need any assistance with updating your profile, please don't hesitate to let your CSM know!
