Order Processing

If you enter any value in the End of Day field, the system assumes you want to hold these orders and send them to the POS at the time entered in "End of day" for reporting purposes' on the day they're due. You should only set the time for "End of Day" for one of two reasons...

  1. If the restaurant opens after midnight, it's so reports can span the time after midnight. So if a restaurant opens till 2:00 a.m. AND they want their reporting day to extend to 2:00 a.m., they would enter 2:00 a.m. in this field.

  2. To send orders to POS at a specific time. So for example, if a store wants orders held and then sent to the store at 5:00 a.m. for all orders due that day, they would set this to 5:00 a.m.

WARNING: If the restaurant does not meet one of the criteria in 1 & 2 above, the '"End of day" for reporting purposes' field should be set with a value of 0. If it is not set to 0 then orders will get stuck in a red status.

NOTE: If your store doesn't open after midnight, and has Hold Future Orders On, then the End of Day value should be set to 0 and future orders will get placed into a Held/Fire status.
