Lunchbox 2.0 Gift Card Purchase and Resend Gift Card Workflow (Powered by ECard)

Overview

This article covers the gift card purchase workflow as well as resending a gift card email from admin. At times it may be requested from a customer that the Gift Card Email be resent. Lunchbox now puts the power into your hands to resend Gift Cards from the New Admin Dashboard.


Limitations

  • Gift cards pre 6-18-2026 can't be resent to a customer.

  • The same admin user can only resend a gift card once.


How to Purchase a Gift Card on Lunchbox

Step 1: Go to the Lunchbox website.

Step 2: Click on your profile.

Step 3: Navigate to the Gift Cards section.

Step 4: Select the gift card you want to purchase from here you have the power to reload a gift card, Buy a New Gift Card or add an existing Gift Card to your profile.

Note: All customers are given a birthright card upon signing up for an account.

Step 5: Add the following information

  • Enter the desired gift card amount (for example, $5)

  • Add a personalized message.

  • Enter the recipient's name.

  • Enter the recipient's email address twice to confirm it.

  • Click Checkout.

Step 6: Enter your payment information and complete the purchase.

Step 7: Wait for the purchase confirmation and for the gift card email to be sent.

Step 8: Check your email inbox for the gift card receipt.

Step 9: Open the gift card receipt email.

Step 10: Locate the gift card number and gift card amount in the email.

Step 11: Either start a new order pay with the new gift card and save it to your account or add the gift card to your profile.

Viewing Your Gift Card Number on Lunchbox

Step 1: From the gift card screen a customer can easily see their Gift Card number by selecting SHOW

How to Resend a Gift Card on Lunchbox

Step 1: Log in as an administrator to access the admin interface by clicking Jump to Admin

Step 2: Go to the Orders section.

Step 3: Filter the orders by Service Type and select Gift Card.

Step 4: Select the appropriate date range to locate the gift card purchase.

Step 5: Click the three dots on the gift card order and click view details.

Step 6: Click the Resend Email button.

Step 7: Update the recipient's email address if necessary.

Step 8: Click Resend to resend the gift card email.

Step 9: Confirm the success message indicating the gift card email was successfully resent.

Step 10: Verify that the Resend Email button is now grayed out denoting that the gift card was resent.
