Overview
This article explains how to configure Google Pay with FreedomPay for Lunchbox 2.0. It covers retrieving the Gateway Merchant ID from the FreedomPay dashboard, configuring Tokenization Parameters, and setting up both global and local Merchant IDs where applicable.
To configure Google Pay with Freedom Pay, we must first grab the Gateway Merchant ID from the Freedom Pay dashboard.
Configure Google Pay
Step 1: Select Administration > Enterprise Management
Step 2: Select Tier 4> Magic Card Store
Step 3: Under Store Terminals, find Gateway Merchant ID
Step 4: Navigate to Admin settings and find Google Pay> Tokenization Parameters. Select the Update button
Step 5: Ensure the gateway is "freedompay" and as a gateway Merchant ID paste the value copied from the Freedom Pay dashboard, in between quotation marks.
Step 6: Select Save to store the new setting.
Local vs. Global Merchant ID
This Merchant ID is global, for the whole chain. If, however, the chain has the local Merchant IDs, they need to be set on the local payment gateway for each supported store.
Step 1: Navigate to Operate> Payments
Step 2: Enter or select the store location
Step 3: Under Payment Configurations, find and select Freedom Pay
Step 4: In the Freedom Pay tab, scroll to Edit Gateways and select it
Step 5: Under Gateways, select Freedom Pay
Step 6: Scroll to the Local Gateway Merchant ID (Google) and enter the local value
Step 7: Select Save.

And then paste it under Design> Mobile apps> Mobile Payments> Enable Google Pay > Merchant Identifier
