Written by Marija Golubovic

Overview

This article covers the Admin dashboard configuration of the Freedom Pay payment processor.

Freedom Pay Gateway Configuration

To configure the payment gateway, log in to the client's dashboard and navigate to:

Step 1: Operate > Payments

Step 2: Select a store location

Step 3: Select Payment Configurations> + Add Payment Configuration

Step 4: In the pop-up window, add:

  • Description: Freedom Pay

  • Payment type: select Freedom Pay from the dropdown

  • Select the Save button

Step 5: The Freedom Pay will be added to the payment configurations list for the location. Select it to open a configuration sidepanel

Step 6: Select Edit Gateways

Step 7: We will be navigated to the Gateways page. Select + Add Gateway

Step 8: In the pop-up window, add:

  • Description: Freedom Pay

  • Payment Type: select Freedom Pay from the drop-down

  • Select the Save button

Step 9: Now, select the newly created gateway, Freedom Pay. In the config sidepanel, we need to enter the values for the following fields:

The Description and Payment Type should already be populated.

  • Store ID - Provided by Freedom Pay (can be found under Enterprise management> Tier 4> Magic Card Store> Manage tab)

  • Terminal ID - Provided by Freedom Pay (can be found under Enterprise management> Tier 4> Magic Card Store> Manage tab)

  • Enterprise Code - Provided by Freedom Pay

  • Key Slot ID - can be found under Administration> RSA Key Management. Read about it here

  • Local Gateway Merchant ID (Google)

  • Client ID (Prod) - Provided by Freedom Pay (the value could be the same for all locations; check if the Store Terminal> Terminal ID is different for different locations here)

  • Client Secret (Prod) - Provided by Freedom Pay (the value could be the same for all locations)

* Provided by Freedom Pay = Distributed during onboarding

Boarding handles the creation of Store and Terminal IDs that you will be using to run live production transactions. To obtain these credentials, there are two forms you will need: a VAR sheet from your processor and the FreedomPay Switching form.

Once you have submitted these forms via your account manager or partnership manager, we at FreedomPay will test each set of credentials with a 0.01 – 0.10 amount transaction on a live credit card to confirm that it is functioning. Once we have confirmed that the transactions have settled, the credentials will be provided back to the requestor (typically a merchant or reseller). The Merchant will need to provide the credentials to the ISV.

Freedom Pay Dashboard Login

IMPORTANT NOTE: For the purpose of documentation, we will be presenting login process to the Freedom Pay UAT dashboard in the section below.

Freedom Pay Dashboard access is permission-based and controlled at the enterprise level. Depending on the implementation model, either the merchant or Lunchbox manages user access and invitations within the FreedomPay Enterprise Portal.

If the Lunchbox is invited to manage the account, the teammate(s) receive an email to setup the password for their account and login to the dashboard.

After setting up the password, navigate to Freedom Pay UAT Dashboard. To login, we need to know the Enterprise Code which can be provided by the merchant. Bellow, you can find a section about the Enterprise Code and where to locate

To login to Freedom Pay UAT dashboard, we use Enterprise Code LNCBOX, provided username and newly created password.

After successful login, we land to the dashboard Homepage

Freedom Pay Configuration Values

We need to be able to communicate to the client where to grab this value from their dashboard.

Key Slot ID

This is a variable, so it can vary per location if we need it to be. To locate the Key Slot ID or IDs:

Step 1: From the Homepage, navigate to Administration > RSA Key Management.

Step 2: Typically, the merchant will be responsible for generating the RSA key. Once it's generated, the client can grab the Key Slot ID needed for payment configuration

Enterprise Code

To locate an Enterprise Code for the organization, navigate to:

Step 1: Administration > Enterprise Management

Step 2: We can find the Enterprise Code under the Manage tab of the Enterprise Management
