Overview

Custom Terms & Conditions manage the brand name and legal links displayed to guests. These details appear on the account sign-up page and during guest checkout. The system generates legal strings that link to the specific documentation provided in the dashboard.

Configuration

Settings are managed within the Web design section.

  1. Navigate to Design > Web > Custom Terms & Conditions

  2. In the first section, we set Brand’s Name, which is displayed in the Sign up modal and the checkout page.

  3. Enable Custom Terms of Service

    1. This setting controls the Terms of Service link destination.

    2. Enter the URL for the client’s Terms of Service (example: https://lunchbox.io/terms).

    3. When the related toggle is enabled, the configured URL is used instead of the default Terms of Service link.

    4. If no URL is set or the toggle is inactive, the default is https://lunchbox.io/terms

  4. Enable Custom Privacy Policy

    1. This setting controls the Privacy Policy link destination.

    2. Enter the URL for the client’s Privacy Policy (example: https://lunchbox.io/privacy)

    3. If no URL is set or the toggle is inactive, the default is https://lunchbox.io/privacy

  5. Use Custom Terms & Conditions in App?

    1. This setting controls whether the same legal links apply on mobile apps.

    2. Enable the toggle to apply these settings to the apps

  6. Select Save to apply changes.

Guest Experience

In the guest experience, selecting the hyperlinked text opens the configured external URLs. Legal links appear at two specific points during the user journey:

  • Sign-Up Page: When creating an account, the message states agreement to the brand's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

  • Checkout Page: When placing an order as a guest, the message states agreement to the brand's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer

  • The brand name is modifiable, but the surrounding agreement text is fixed and hardcoded.

  • Restaurant partners are responsible for providing accurate, publicly accessible URLs for their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Lunchbox does not verify or maintain the content hosted at those URLs.
