Overview
The Pay in Store option allows guests to place an online order without completing payment at checkout. Instead, payment is completed in person at the restaurant. This way, we support locations that accept cash or require in-store payment options. Availability depends on the configured payment provider and its POS. The option must be enabled in the Admin Dashboard before it appears as a payment choice during checkout.
Limitations
Availability depends on the POS and payment provider configuration. Not all of the POS providers support this feature, so this should be confirmed with each restaurant organization
Checkout Experience
Some regions require restaurants to offer guests the ability to pay in person or with cash. This feature supports those requirements while still allowing online ordering. During checkout, the Payment Info section displays available payment options based on the restaurant’s configuration. When Pay in Store is enabled, guests may see:
Pay Full Amount, which completes payment online using a credit card
Pay Partial Amount, which allows part of the order to be paid online and the remaining balance to be paid in-store. It lets guests decide how much to pay online before pickup.
Configuration Steps
The Pay in Store option must be enabled from the Admin Dashboard using a payment configuration. After logging in to Admin,
Navigate to Operate> Payments
Click Payments > Payment Configuration > add payment configuration
Enter a description for the configuration
Select Pay at Store as the payment type
Save the configuration
Once saved, the Pay in Store option becomes available during checkout based on the restaurant’s setup.
Verification Steps
After configuration, confirm the setup by reviewing the checkout experience:
Open the ordering site and proceed to checkout
Verify visibility of the Pay in Store payment options
(optionally) Verify that Pay Full Amount and Pay Partial Amount options appear when applicable
Confirm that partial payment allows the remaining balance to be paid in store
