The way you photograph your menu items plays an important role in the customer experience and purchase decisions. After all, we eat with our eyes first!

Your photography should be one of the first things you think about when you’re getting ready to launch your online ordering platform. In this article, we’ll run through some of our top recommendations to make your images pop.

One tip would be to try and use natural lighting when taking pictures of your food. You never want to have shadows or take pictures in a dark room because it might not showcase how delicious it looks! Using a nice camera will always help make your pictures look better. If you can’t get your hands on one, a new iPhone would work and there might be someone on your staff that has one. For more of these tips check out this article to make your food photography the best.

Where to Showcase Your Photography

Every item on your menu should have a picture. This helps your customers know exactly what they are getting and what it looks like.

You should also make sure you have a clear logo and header image for your online menu. This will make your brand look professional and enticing for customers to order from. You can edit that information here in your settings.
