Loyalty: Receipt Rewards Overview

Lunchbox Receipt Rewards (powered by Copper)

Introduction

Receipt Rewards is a plug-and-play smart cable that replaces the existing printer cable connecting a merchant’s POS system to the receipt printer. Once installed, the Receipt Rewards cord harvests the printed data for loyalty purposes. This allows us to obtain and track loyalty information for our clients' guests.

Benefits

  • Gather and sort ticket information from the printer to store for further use

  • Add marketing material to ticket receipts

  • Scan to pay

  • Earn loyalty points

  • Pay at table

A client pays a low fee per month in order to leverage Receipt Rewards.

Why is it important for Restaurants?

  • Provides in-store loyalty functionality with POS that has a limitation in their technology

    • We would not be able to access this data without Receipt Rewards

  • Brand awareness

    • More marketing materials = more brand touchpoints!

  • Industry agnostic

    • Doesn't discriminate between legacy or cloud base POS

  • Reporting

    • Overarching reporting (both in-store AND online)

  • CC Processing

    • Lunchbox can become the processor and offer competitive rates (contract limitations depending on the brand)

  • Processor agnostic

    • Restaurants can keep their own processor if they want to avoid going through Lunchbox.

  • Pay at table

    • This leverages a QR code at the table, allowing the guest to scan to pay in-store AND accrue loyalty from this payment.

Technical Summary

Let's get technical on Receipt Rewards…

  • The cord is a device that is installed between the POS and the receipt printer.

  • It connects to wifi (2.4 GHz only)

  • The cord sorts through ticket information and stores this information in the Copper API.

  • The guest scans the QR code and signs into their account

  • Lunchbox uses this API to obtain the ticket information
