Overview
To ensure that payment information is accounted for properly, compare financial reports between Lunchbox and the CardPointe Payment Dashboard. In this article, we’ll take a look at the reports that ensure that Transactions and Deposits are matching between the 2 systems.
Transactions
In the following lines, we'll explain how to grab the transaction report in Admin Dashboard and in CardPointe Dashboard, so that you can cross-reference the data.
Lunchbox Transaction Report
To pull Transactions from Lunchbox, you’ll need the “Credit Card Detail” Report:
Navigate to the Lunchbox Admin and log in.
Navigate to Reporting
Select the Location you would like to pull the reports for
Select the Date(s) you would like to pull the reports for
Click View to launch the report
When the report populates, you’ll be able to see each transaction for the day, broken up by the payment type (Mastercard / Visa, Amex / Discover, Other Payments [i.e., Gift Cards and House Accounts] and displaying:
Guest Name
Order Details Link
Transaction Dates
Transaction Amounts
Payment Info
CardPointe Transactions Report
To pull Transactions from the CardPointe Dashboard, navigate to
Reporting tab
Select the Transaction tab
Select Date(s)
Select Location
When the report populates, you’ll be able to see each transaction for the day, broken up by the payment type (Mastercard / Visa, Amex / Discover, Other Payments [i.e., Gift Cards and House Accounts] and displaying:
Guest Name
Order Details Link
Transaction Dates
Transaction Amounts
Payment Info
If you need to update one or more of the parameters, make sure to select the Refresh button to get an updated report
Deposits
Lunchbox Deposits Report
You’ll need the same “Credit Card Detail” Report you pulled for Transactions to pull Deposits from Lunchbox. To get there,
Navigate to the Lunchbox Admin and log in.
Navigate to Reporting
Select the Location you would like to pull the reports for
Select the Date(s) you would like to pull the reports for
Click View to launch the report
When the report populates, you’ll be able to see each credit card transaction for the day, displaying:
Payment Info
Payment Status
Transaction ID
Transaction Dates
You’ll need the “Captured Date” for Deposit reporting
Transaction Amounts
For reconciliation purposes, you’re going to need the Grand Total and if there are “Other Payments” (for things such as Gift Cards, Loyalty & House Accounts), subtract that from the Grand Total to calculate the total needed to compare to the Payment Provider.
CardPointe Deposits Report
To find deposit reports, in CardPointe dashboard:
Select the Reporting tab
Select Funding tab
Set the Funding date
Set the Funding location
The report will automatically generate
Additionally, you can choose to export it
