Overview

After successful onboarding with CardPointe, clients will have access to the CardPointe dashboard that allows them to view and track real-time transactions, create and download transaction reports, issue refunds and void transactions, monitor daily and monthly sales performance, manage chargebacks and retrievals, and much more.

Dashboard Homepage

The CardPointe dashboard homepage provides an overview of the transactions for locations assigned to the user.

As a reminder, you can create and manage CardPointe access and instructions are available CardPointe Dashboard Access LB 2.0

On the homepage, they can track various activities

  • Authorized and Captured amounts (per location)

My Account

In this section, we can see a list of assigned accounts (client's locations),

  • Account (location) name

  • Merchant IDs,

  • Location Status (Live vs. Boarded),

  • The date account (location) was created,

  • PCI Compliance Status (compliant vs not compliant)

  • Contact Information

  • Card Acceptance

Additionally, in this section, we can track Equipment and Equipment Orders, but these sections are not relevant for Lunchbox.

πŸ’‘If a location is not yet PCI compliant, the CardPointe team will provide access to their PCI compliance portal and help guide merchants through the SAQ (Self-Assessment Questionnaire) process.

In order to register, clients must do so from the same IP address used to sign into their merchant application and disable pop-up blockers, otherwise, they may receive an error.

Void and refund

To refund a transaction, we must first find it in the Reporting > Transactions.

Transactions that have status "Authorized" or "Processed" can be voided. Also, they can only be voided if they were made on the same day.

  • Authorized = the card was entered during the transaction, but the payment wasn't captured

  • Processed = the card was authorized, captured, and it was batched out and funded, and then authorized again

  • Batched = authorized transactions that have been finalized and sent for settlement

  • Declined = declined transaction

Transactions that have status "Processed" can only be refunded

Security parameters

Under Administration> Security, clients can find security features they can set up per location.

They can set:

  • Transaction Amount Limits: They should enter the maximum allowable transaction/ refund amount for the selected location (merchant). For example, if the max transaction /refund amount is set to $10, it will decline all transactions over $10.01

    • The max transaction and refund amount acts like a buffer, which will stop an order from going in, as well as stop an order from being refunded

  • CVV validation: When active, CVV mismatches are automatically declined

  • ASV validation: When active, Address Verification System (AVS mismatches are automatically declined

  • Auth Verify Threshold: Transactions under the set dollar amount will be authorized and voided if there is an AVS mismatch. Transactions over the set dollar amount will be verified before an authorization is attempted
