Clients can carry over to existing relationships with popular loyalty providers (e.g., Punchh, Paytronix, etc.).

  • There is no loyalty migration process needed. All loyalty data remains in the same location, and all your loyalty admin processes will stay the same.

  • If switching to LB Loyalty, the process will be easy for both you and your guests. Guests will have the same loyalty experience they had with the previous ordering provider.

Q: Where does the user record live?
A: Lunchbox keeps a record of the user along with the BYO Loyalty Provider.

Q: How does Lunchbox prevent duplicate accounts?
A: Lunchbox can send the BYO Loyalty Provider mobile phone numbers, which act as a unique identifier to prevent fraud and duplicate account creation.


Q: Can guests accrue or redeem rewards online?
A: Yes. The BYO Loyalty Provider receives order history to perform reward accruals, and redemptions are verified with the provider before a guest checks out.


Q: Who sends the order to the POS?
A: Once all loyalty redemption information is gathered for any valid items in the cart, Lunchbox sends the order to the POS.


Q: Is there a separate cost for the BYO Loyalty Provider?
A: Yes. A best-in-class loyalty system has its own set of fees, which should be discussed directly with the BYO Loyalty Provider representative.


Q: Do I need a separate contract for the BYO Loyalty Provider?
A: Yes. Since the BYO Loyalty Provider is a separate, though integrated, loyalty system, a separate contract is required.


Q: What happens if I change my POS later?
A: Loyalty information remains with the BYO Loyalty Provider, and Lunchbox continues to post orders to the POS. A list of integrated POS systems can be provided for verification.


Q: Is Lunchbox integrated with the BYO Loyalty Provider’s gift cards?
A: Yes. Integration is available for both off-premise and on-premise transactions. Refer to the POS integration list for confirmation.
