Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are we importing/provisioning discounts into LB and syncing them?

A: Discounts are imported from Simphony, but are not provisioned / used

Q: Are we importing/provisioning service charges into LB and syncing them?

A: Service Charges are imported from Simphony, but are not provisioned / used

Q: Are we importing/provisioning tenders into LB and syncing them?

A: Tenders are imported from Simphony, but are not provisioned / used

Q: Are we importing/provisioning revenue centers into LB and syncing them?

A: Revenue Centers are imported from Simphony, but are not provisioned / used

Q: Are we setting tax rates based on values in a revenue center and those included with an item?

A: Taxes are determined by Simphony when we the calculate check resource is called.

Q: Are we pricing checking an order before injection?

A: Yes

Q: Are we correct that each location will have its own menu id?

A: Depends on the configuration of the API account. The link is either set by individual location or groups of locations. I believe that Torchys is configured per location

Q: Will the 'tct' value ever change?

A: Probably as the TCT is the merchants organization short name

Q: If a location has multiple menus, what will the menu IDs look like for them?

A: The only thing that may change would be the RVC number and this will only apply if the menu is different per RVC== Other Info"I cannot speak to the exact configuration of the Torchy’s environment however the format of the menu could change depending on the locations configured for the API credentials (0057 or 0081). The API credentials can be configured for access to the organization enterprise, a single location or a group of locations (regions). I believe in my discussions with their programming team the API credential is set as “Enterprise” and all locations defined share the same menu configuration"

Menu ID Format

Below is information from Lunchbox's technical contact at Oracle about menu IDs.

<OrgShortName> : <API Location> : <RVC> (example: tct:0081:333)

Notes

  • OrgShortName: Will change per customer

  • API Location: ID for the store

  • RVC: Revenue Center


Migrating Customer From Another POS to Simphony?

Immediately after a location(s) is cut over to use the Simphony from another Lunchbox POS integration, and before the doors open, contact George to have the 'import_digests' deleted from the stores that were launched
