Overview
Quick Add to Cart allows guests to add certain menu items directly to the cart from the menu page, without opening the item details page. This feature is designed to reduce unnecessary clicks for items that do not require additional selection before they can be added to cart.
Usability of the feature
Quick Add to Cart is designed to create a faster and more efficient ordering experience for simple menu items.
On the menu page, Quick Add to Cart appears as a + button on the item tile.
When selected, it allows guests to add an eligible item directly to the cart from the menu page instead of opening the item details drawer.
After the item is added, the menu page reflects the item’s cart state by showing the current quantity and allowing the quantity to be increased or decreased directly from the menu page.
This interaction is intended for items that do not require guest input before being added to the cart. By removing unnecessary steps for simple items, Quick Add to Cart helps streamline browsing and ordering. Guests can continue moving through the menu with less interruption, which supports a faster path to checkout.
Eligible items
Quick Add to Cart is available for items that can be added to the cart without first requiring guest selection in the item details drawer. Items that require additional configuration, such as required options or required modifiers, still require the guest to open the item details drawer before adding the item to the cart.
