Written by Mark Robert Turner

Overview

Points Promotions (Multiple Points Days) let restaurants reward guests with extra loyalty points on selected dates by applying a points multiplier (e.g., 2x, 3x, 5x). This feature helps boost engagement, increase spending, and encourage repeat visits during special events or campaigns. It automatically applies across all loyalty tiers, making setup simple and rewards more impactful.

Points Promotions (Multiple Points Days)

Points Promotions works by enabling users to configure specific days when they can earn loyalty points at an adjusted ratio based on dollars spent. This feature incentivizes increased customer engagement and spending during these special promotion days.

Clients with different point ratios for different tiers will automatically be handled, e.g., if a restaurant partner is giving gold-tier guests 1.5 points for every dollar spent and there is a 2x points promo, the gold guests will get 3 points per dollar (1.5 x 2 = 3)

  • Customer Engagement: Restaurant partners can use this feature to engage with their customers on specific dates, creating excitement and anticipation.

  • Boost Sales: By offering variations of multiple points on designated days, restaurants can encourage customers to spend more. This can lead to increased sales during these promotional periods.

  • Customer Loyalty: Increasing the value of loyalty points earned with Points Promotions can enhance customer loyalty. Customers are more likely to choose the restaurant over competitors due to the potential for greater rewards.

  • Repeat Visits: Incentivizes customers to return to the restaurant with Points Promotions to maximize their points, leading to increased repeat visits.

  • Customization: Restaurants can tailor the feature to their specific needs, adjusting the days and multiples based on their goals and business strategy.

Points Promotions Configuration

Step 1: Select Operate> Loyalty> Points Promotion> +Create

Step 2: Add the following details:

  • Name: This is not customer-facing; name it something descriptive and include the date.

    • Example: 5x points on Halloween

  • Description: This is not customer-facing; name it something descriptive and include the date.

    • Example: Customers receive 5 time points on Halloween 2025

  • Select Active Date: Choose the date that the restaurant partner wants the points promotion to take effect

  • Points Multiplier: Choose the multiplier for the points that you want to apply. Note this will apply to all tiered points thresholds.

    • Select how many times you want to multiply the points guests earn on the promotion day. The multiplier is automatically applied to all loyalty tiers.

    • Examples:

      • Tier 1: Normally, $1 = 1 point β†’ with a 5x promotion, $1 = 5 points

      • Tier 2: Normally, $1 = 2 points β†’ with a 5x promotion, $1 = 10 points

Points Multiplier functionality: Changing points multiplier directly impacts all tiers and different earning ratios. For example, if you have a base tier that earns $1 = 1 point and a gold tier that earns $1 = 1.25 points, and we set the points multiplier to 2, base members would earn 200 points on a $100 order subtotal amount and gold tier members would earn 250 points on a $100 order subtotal.

  • Select the Save button to create New Points promotion

After saving points promotion config window, the Points Promotion tab should display the scehduled campaign, along with other previously set campaigns.
