Overview
For restaurant partners using CardPointe as their payment processor, the setup for bank deposits is more streamlined than platforms like Finix. Each MID (Merchant ID) is tied to a single bank account used for all payouts. CardPointe does not support separate withdrawal accounts or multi-account routing within the platform.
If you manage multiple restaurant locations under different owners, as is common in franchise structures, each location should be set up with its own MID to allow funds to be deposited into each owner's bank account.
CardPointe system capabilities
CardPointe supports only one payout account per MID
There is no option to configure a separate account for withdrawals. All processing fees are automatically deducted from the settlement amount before it is deposited into the client's bank account
There is no self-service feature in the dashboard to edit or add bank accounts after onboarding. This must be done manually, via support. We described the process here
π‘ Unlike Finix, CardPointe:
Does not support dual-account setups (one for deposits, another for withdrawals/fees).
Does not offer self-service controls for payout preferences or funding transfer speed.
Uses a more rigid banking structure tied directly to the MID, making it important to separate ownership structures during onboarding.
Batches Settlement in CardPointe
Batches close daily, typically in the evening, depending on configuration.
Funding is processed the next business day via ACH (standard timing). Same-day funding is not currently supported by default
You can monitor deposits using the Funding Report in the dashboard. Read more about the Funding
